Hello everyone ! It is going to be a very short article today, to show you my version of the Aime comme Manège high waisted shorts, by the pattern company Aime comme Marie. I had a big crush on the presentation version made by the designer, in a multicoloured jacquard. As the pattern is a 12 pages PDF which only costs 4 euros, I didn’t hesitate for long. Also, I had some left-over of this wonderful zebra jacquard by Pretty mercerie, which I had used for the skirt of my « La Parisienne » dress. It was perfect to test this pattern which doesn’t consume much fabric. I made the shorts last summer,…

#throwbackthursday #1 Lora Dress – La Maison Victor
Hello everybody! New post today with a little throwback thursday : may I present you the famous Lora Dress, by the Belgian pattern magazine La Maison Victor. Like many sewers on Instagram, I discovered this pattern and this magazine thanks to the beautiful versions sewed by Alicia from l’Atelier d’Alicia. I had such a big crush on her green one that when I went to Mondial Tissu the next time, I bought the same dark green crêpe fabric (I also got some of the red one, which I used for my New Girl dress!). About the pattern This pattern had quite a success, although it’s true that the version showed in the magazine wasn’t really dreamy. This is…

January: the Dress #isewmycapsulewardrobe2017
Here it is, it’s time to present the first project of the I Sew My Capsule Wardrobe 2017 Challenge! As I already explained in my presentation article of the challenge, I started with an easy one and decided to sew a dress for the first month of the year! Dresses are what I sew the most I think, it’s so easy to put on on mornings where you don’t have any inspiration to match tops and bottoms together. The choice of pattern and my initial idea For this dress, I had a specific idea in mind, I wanted to finally use my Iris pantsuit pattern from the pattern company Dessine-moi un patron,…
